Life experiences for people with a disabilities… Memories for a lifetime

Who does the Camp serve?

Camp CaPella provides services to children (aged 5 and older) and adults with a primary diagnosis of physical and develpmental disabilities. Children and adults who attend Camp CaPella may be diagnosed with such disabilities as Cerebral Palsy, Muscular dystrophy, Spina Bifida, Downs Syndrome, Autism, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, and other conditions that cause physical and developmental disabilities. The summer camp program has a 1 / 2 ratio of staff to campers and each camper has a recreational and educational plan developed to serve their individual needs. Camp CaPella will be a day camp for 2009 with week-end overnight camping opportunities planned. For families residing beyond the greater Bangor/Ellsworth area, the Ronald McDonald House in Bangor will house families whose child is attending the Camp at little to no cost and the Luncerne Inn in Dedham is offering a deeply discounted weekly rate to families as well. Call for datails.

Camp CaPella is about providing life experiences for people with disabilities. . .and making memories for a lifetime.
